How Our Program Works in Medina County
Twice-Weekly Home Visits
Trained Live Inspired Home Visitors work with Medina County families in their homes twice a week for two school years. This consistent schedule creates a strong relationship between the Home Visitor, parent, and child, allowing for personalized support that addresses each family’s unique needs.
Each 30-minute visit is scheduled at times convenient for your family, making it easy to incorporate our program into your busy life. Our Home Visitors come to you, eliminating transportation barriers and allowing children to learn in the comfort of their own home environment.
Free Educational Books and Toys
Live Inspired provides your child with a new high-quality book or educational toy each week at no cost to your family. Over the two-year program, families receive approximately 60 books and toys that become permanent additions to your home library and play area.
These carefully selected materials are specifically chosen to promote language development, early literacy, cognitive skills, and social-emotional growth. Each item comes with guidance on how to maximize its educational value through engaging activities that you can continue using long after our visit ends.
Modeling Reading and Play Activities
During each visit, our trained Home Visitors demonstrate creative and effective ways to read and play with your child. Through modeling rather than direct instruction, we show parents how to use engaging reading techniques that capture children’s interest and ask open-ended questions that develop critical thinking skills. We help parents learn to follow their children’s lead during play to build confidence and creativity, create everyday learning opportunities throughout regular routines, and build vocabulary through rich conversations about books and toys. Parents learn by observing and then practicing these techniques with their children, gaining confidence in their ability to support their child’s development.
